Week 1 Sport Review

After the Christmas break Week 1 saw a really busy week’s sport. On Wednesday the girls had a full programme of Netball fixtures against Benenden, Duke of York’s and Hazelwood while the senior boys played Hazelwood at Rugby. Some really encouraging results for both the senior Netballers and Rugby players as well as the U10A Netball team.

The U9 boys started contact Rugby matches on Thursday with fixtures against Sutton Valance Prep in which there were some really competitive games and encouraging results for all three teams.

The week finished with a excellent Saturday’s afternoon sport against Cumnor House (Netball) and Yardley Court (Rugby). Performance of the day must go to the U13A Rugby team who won a thriller at Yardley scoring a try with the last play to secure a hard fought 20-15 win.

During the holidays Chris (Sussex U13 Cricket) and Daphne (Kent U11 Cricket) gained county selection and join Milo (Kent U13) in county cricket squads for 2018. Good luck to them in their winter training programmes.

Good luck also to Anna and Ross who will be representing the Tunbridge Wells district at the Kent Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
